Grants

The Agape foundation of London makes grants for start up costs both capital and operating to new organizations intending to provide services of facilities that respond to a documented need in the community.

As well, grants are made to established organizations that demostrate a need for funding of a special capital project.

Grants will also be considered for established organizations whose services will no longer be available to the community without short term funding.

The purpose of The Agape Foundations of London is to assist in the development of the London area community through grants and special awards to non-profit, charitable groups concerned with education, the arts, recreation, social services, health and the environment.

How to Apply for a Grant

Grant applications must be submitted three weeks in advance for consideration at the regular board meetings usually held quarterly through the year. Grant Deadline Updates are posted on this website.

In order to qualify for a possible grant from The Agape Foundation of London, your organization must meet the following three criteria:

a) Your organization must provide its Revenue Canada Charitable Registration Number. The Agape Foundation of London is prohibited from granting to any organization which does not provide such a number.

b) Your organization must be either i) resident in London, Ontario or the immediately surrounding area, or ii) serve the needs of people in London, Ontario or the immediately surrounding area. The Agape Foundation of London is prohibited from considering applications which do not meet this criterion.

c) Your organization must complete and submit a Grant Application, including all of the necessary support materials and contact information. The Agape Foundation of London cannot consider incomplete applications.

In addition, although The Agape Foundation is not limited in the amount it can grant, it may be helpful to know that the average grant over the past two years has been approximately $4,200 to 35 organizations.

If your organization meets the granting criteria above, you are welcome to submit an application. All complete applications which are received in a timely manner will be considered at the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors.

Thank you for your interest in The Agape Foundation of London.
